The republicans hold a majority in the senate and the house. What do you think would happen when impeachment papers are drawn up and brought to a vote? You think the republicans would be bound to a sense of honor and ethics? Please.
Trump went after the major law firms (and universities) at the start of his term. now they are all too scared.

Republicans already are showing they will dump the Bar Association. They did it in Texas so now all the disbarred trump lawyers can go work in Texas. The Bar Association knows they will lose if they go against the magas who control the entire government.
Because good lawyers are generally pragmatic. They want a solution that can work not to propose things that have no chance of happening. I have a better chance of sprouting wings and learning to fly then 20 Republican Senators agreeing to vote for Impeachment.
The impeachment vote wouldn’t make it through the house cause the speaker wouldn’t bring it to the floor for a vote.
Then there is timing, its better to bring the impeachment during the end of third or 4th year to keep it fresh in voter’s minds on who refused to impeach or convicted Trump.
Common Dreams, the same news org that called Biden the biggest threat to democracy and called Harris a warmonger in 2024, is now upset that Trump is in charge
I mean, Trump has even started making it so that certain states don’t even answer to the Bar Association anymore. What do you want them to do, exactly?

Why are you only concerned about one profession? You think Plumbers and Dentists dont have skin in this game? Impeachment isnt viable with this congress and each one he survives emboldened him. We need to clean up congress before any more impeachment attempts are a good idea.
It would be a step forward for bar associations to censure lawyers who are openly lying to courts and ignoring their rulings.
It wouldn’t do any good. Trump will not be impeached again unless Democrats win back Congress.

Until Democrats control Congress, or Trump does something so egregious that conservatives turn on him, he is “Teflon Don” in truth.

We need to do the same thing they’re doing. Flood the zone with impeachment and lawsuits. General strike.
I cycled off of the board of governors for my bar association about 6 months ago. At the start of the trump term we were literally putting out statements so quickly that we had to put in an express lane to publish them faster. Trump had also been going after law firms during that time- so it was scary.
I am no longer in that loop (chose not the seek reappointment).
Pam Bondi is an outlaw now. She is operating outside of the law. The laws that she took an oath to uphold. Who did she swear to when she took that oath ? Disgusting !
He’s already impeached twice, apparently it needs to be stronger like the 25th amendment, which was sited several months ago yet the criminal will continue to destroy our standing in the world. Trump acts like the mafia.
Because everyone knows the Republicans won’t do shit and they have a majority. If you want impeachment, you’re going to have to wait until after the midterms and make sure the Democrats get a large majority.

Bar associations are dominated by big law. Big law depends on the Government to survive.
They are… There are currently nearly 300 lawsuits against the administration.
Impeachment is a political process, not a legal process.
Because they’re a bunch of pu$$ies Like most elites.
In my experience, unless a lawyer is in politics or plans to do so, they do not advertise their political affiliation professionally. That would include law firms. It could deter potential or existing clients. Doesn’t mean all won’t, just most. Of course some are vocal, and rights groups lawyers like the southern poverty law center and ACLU are gonna be vocal. But they also know what they’re talking about – a traffic or liability lawyer know barely more than the average Joe on constitutional law. And impeachment is more a political process.
Those aren’t billable hours.
Only the House can initiate impeachment.
• Any House member may introduce articles of impeachment or request an impeachment inquiry.
• A simple majority vote in the House is required to impeach.
Impeachment = formal charges (like an indictment), not removal.
They aren’t screaming because a) they fear absolute certain retribution or ) they voted for Trump.
WHat good would it do. He is unremovable unless the Senate takes an unthinkable swing to the left.
There is no body of power to enforce laws. Meaning… Justice is dead, there is no law.
Because lawyers can’t impeach. Send an e-mail to your state’s Confeessional reps (senators). Tell them!
Some of them are just as compromised.
