It’s unclear how many Guard members are being called in, as National Guard Major Gen. Shawn Menke called the number “adequate for this request,” referring to a plea for assistance from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s office.
Walz slammed the Trump administration Saturday, declaring state authorities would probe the fatal shooting of Alex Jeffrey Pretti.

Could anything be gained by declaring a state of emergency? Or does that usually just mean federal help which obviously means chaos and death now. But could Walz have access to other resources for MN if he declared a state of emergency? Maybe from other states?

Every single ICE agent should be treated as a gang unit and charge the same.
They executed two people. On camera. Those agents with them, should also be charged with committing the same crime as their fellow officer.
Edit – by agents with them, I mean the agents in that location. Those officers should’ve self arrested the offender on the spot. As for those dying in detention centers, those should also be charged at a state level.

If the National Guard were to surround and arrest all ICE agents in Minnesota, Trump probably would only respond with long, rambling, angry posts on Truth Social. Trump is a total coward and anytime anyone actually stands up to him, he usually backs down.
Every ICE agent in Minnesota should be arrested, have their weapons confiscated and sent back to DC in orange jumpsuits; including ICE Barbie. If that were to happen, ICE would never dare to invade another state again.

There’s video clearly showing him with his phone filming the agents and they proceed to shove him and 2 women away, pepper spraying them, then jumping him when he tries to help one of the women back up (one post indicated it was his mother). They then jumped him, grabbed his gun for which he had a legal carry permit, and then shot him, before emptying another 10 rounds into him.

Walz hit the red button and called up the Guardbasically saying “if feds wanna play G.I. Joe in my state, I’ll bring the big green referees.” About time a governor treated ICE like the out-of-control militia it is.

Activating the Minnesota National Guard puts them in direct conflict with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) via Border Patrol (BP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
This means that a state controled National Guard is opposing a Federal Executive Department. With that, Donald Trump now has grounds (albeit weak) to invoke the Insurrection Act, and send in troops based on the third listed method through which he can be empowered to do so:
*“to address an insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy, in any state, which results in the deprivation of constitutionally secured rights, and where the state is unable, fails, or refuses to protect said rights“*
With the Insurrection Act involved, they’ll look to impeach and convict Tim Walz and remove him from office, then arrest him, probably for treason, and over their belief he’s involved in some kind of fraud.
From there, the Insurrection Act being in place also means that Trump has the ability to postpone the November 2026 Midterm Elections indefinitely via fear and voter suppression, because the Insurrection Act can be kept active as long as he sees fit, until such a time he „feels“ that the situation has been calmed enough. He doesn’t need any form of law to do this, he just will.
Republicans aren’t going to move against him or obstruct him. They’ve seen his approval ratings, they’ve seen his erratic behaviour. The know he’s gone full jellybrain. They know that if there are midterms, the Republican party is going to get absolutely decimated at the ballot box.
Make no mistake about it, Renée Good and Alex Pretti were both murdered as part of Donald Trump’s plans to attempt to completely derail democratic process in the United States.
Trump and his entire administration are domestic terrorists, employing the use of fascist thugs to intimidate and subjugate American Citizens. He is a serial sexual abuser, a rapist, a pedophile, a child sex trafficker and a convicted felon on 34 counts of fraud who is weaponizing the government of the United States of America to exact revenge on his political and personal enemies and to keep himself in power via denying the American people the right to hold free and fair elections.
