      We have the legendary [Cuba Cola](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuba_Cola), which entered the market a few months before Coca Cola reached the country back in the 50s.

      I used to drink it quite a bit as a kid, 20+ years ago. It’s still being sold, allegedly, but I haven’t seen it in forever. That said I’m sure it exists in some grocery stores, especially in southern Sweden, but not in the ones I frequent here in Stockholm.

      Side note: Fritz-Cola is actually pretty popular in West Virginia.

      We don’t have a local cola in the Netherlands, apart from private labels. We do have a local Dr. Pepper!
      Swinkels (the Bavaria beer makers) make Dr Foots.

      Denmark has Jolly Cola and Harboe Cola. I personally prefer Harboe over most other colas (it’s a bit more cinnamon-y)

      Hancock Sport Cola. It’s made by this local brewery named Hancock, bottled in green beer bottles to save money, and it by far the most delicious soda I’ve ever tasted. I dunno how they made it this good or why it’s „sport“, but I know I’ll always buy one when I see one.

      In Italy I tried different brands after deciding to boycott USA products and after many experiments I found out that the Conad cola is the closest to the Coca Cola flavour. I also found a new appreciation for the drink known as Chinotto.

      *Fentimans Curiosity Cola* is one of the more popular ones in the UK. It’s brewed/fermented and has a very low alcohol content due to that (<0.5% so there’s no restrictions on sale). Interesting and unique flavour, but unfortunately they ruined it a bit in recent years by replacing some of the sugar with sweetener to avoid our sugar tax. Sad.

      we have Pop Cola Botanical in Romania. it’s a low sugar, plant based Cola and it’s actually pretty good. even though it’s already low in sugar, it has a Zero version, a Lime version, a No Caffeine version and a Classic version which is not as healthy as the Botanical one, it’s straight up Cola

      Probably Coca Cola, various supermarket brand cola like River (Aldi), and then Fritz or Ritchie cola.

      In Germany it depends on where you live. Sinalco, Fritz Cola and Vita Cola are popular, but Coca Cola outsells the local brands almost everywhere. Except for Thuringia. It’s the only federal state where Coca Cola isn’t the most sold one, it’s Vita-Cola instead.

      Vita Cola is an East-German brand originating in the GDR, so it’s more popular in the eastern states.
