      The US will betray Article 5, let’s not kid ourselves. If it doesn’t leave or is thrown out of NATO anyway, that is. All of that naively assuming that the US isn’t the aggressor itself.

      Thing is if Europe had our shit together, Russia would be a manageable threat. Maybe its time we also take some responsibility for our complacency.

      I despise the way the US administration goes about things, but unfortunately they have a point in some respects. Same as Zelensky’s speech the other day. I know my country, for example, says its upping defence spending but even now it’s not sufficient to fund what we should be funding for truly credible defence. It’s smoke and mirrors.

      Russia is grinding their forces to a paste trying to invade and take a small portion of Ukraine.

      If they didn’t have nukes China and Europe would have carved them up by now.

      So Russia is so strong a threat that we need to threaten our allies to prevent Russia from taking Greenland. But also not a threat so that we don’t need to prioritize defending against Russia?

      It goes against ALL the rhetoric regarding Greenland and of course the regime chance is political fluff given what the Trump admin is doing, but regarding Russia it isn’t wrong per say.

      The war in Ukraine has exposed the weakness of Russia, with frankly minimum western support Ukraine has held off Russia + their allies and inflected massive casualties for what 4 years?  If Russia was the super power we thought they’d have steamrolled Ukraine

      Russia is arguably the second most dangerous army in Ukraine…..and when Ukraine moved into Russia proper they arguably became the second most dangerous army in Russia. Outside of nukes I think the Florida National Guard with moderate help from the coast guard and Boy Scouts could take the Russian army.

      So why Trump is speaking of „Golden Dome“ then? If they did not expect russia to fire missiles – then why GD with all that spendings needed?

      I suspect „Golden Dome“ is the feeble cover to setup military infrastructure on Greenland for subsequent hostile takeover over Canada, as Trump hinted at first day of his „presidency“. Alaska+Greenland can allow US to block naval traffic around Alaska imho

      Major US military operation being planned now with direct tank on tank anticipated. My only guesses are back to the desert or this Greenland or Canada shit is actually being planned.

      You know how we could change Russia from being a „manageable threat“ to being a „non-threat“? Provide serious weaponry and support to Ukraine.
