      4th amendment is very clear. No ICE memo that wasn’t ratified by the states as an amendment matters. They are terrorists.

      Based on how these things go, I expect it to be appealed and stayed by Tuesday (only because of the weekend).

      This is a good step in upholding our rights. I hope more Federal judges follow this interpretation. And it’s important for citizens to support this.

      This will mean exactly nothing. Are we really believing that they didn’t know it was unconstitutional before the judge ruled on it? They will 100% continue to do it.

      I don’t get how there are never consequences. Violating someone’s rights is arguable worse than a lot of crimes. Yet the judicial branch has no power to punish the officers and their superiors who issue the policy?

      Can we reframe this a bit. US judge reminds ICE they are full of shit. 

      It’s not like this things are up for debate. Is a ruling even necessary? It feels like it legitimizes the assumed breaking of the law.

      “Criminal announces Theft is ok before robbing a house.” No police in the USA is going to be like “ok… better check with the judge before I arrest you.”

      Yeah because these internal memos don’t mean anything. Just like the executive orders don’t mean anything. You can’t just amend the constitution with a memo. The fact that our news outlets keep publishing this stuff and giving it gravity and weight is insane, it’s not even close to being enforceable.
