      *Board of Peace* is an international organisation established by Donald Trump that is nominally proposed to promote peacekeeping. It has been described as a vanity project and attracted concern that is seeks to usurp the role of the United Nations. Donald Trump has been appointed as the inaugural chairman, which is a lifetime position and who has the sole power to appoint and dismiss members, set agendas and issue resolutions.

      BoP was announced 29.9.2025 and was established yesterday, 22.1.2026. It has 26 member states. A state can obtain a permanent seat by paying 1 billion (10^(9)) US dollar fee into fund controlled by Donald Trump. Notably Denmark has not received an invitation and Canada was originally invited but the invitation was later withdrawn.

      The colors are confusing. At first moment I thought that half of the Europ bowed down and joined. Giving green as „refused“ although makes some point, as it is positive output, still misleads.

      Bulgaria just said they want in that Peace Board. They didn’t sign yet, they have a political crise. President resign last week, the new goverment it is just untill the next election.

      Pls a bulgarian to correct me.

      Edit: Romania rejected. The President Nicusor Dan had said yesterday that Romania will not accept the invitation.

All revisions to the Charter and administrative directives issued by the Board of Peace are subject to approval by the Chairman.[41] Trump’s chairmanship of the Board of Peace is independent to him holding the presidency of the United States and he has indicated that he would like to remain chairman for life.”

      Honestly how comes there are no protests against that shit. For some of those countries, a billion dollars is half their whole budget

      So with the state of Hungary’s economy and industrial sector. Viktor Orban found 1b to give to Trump (personally) to be ona board of a fictional entity ? Why is EU giving any funding to Albania and Kosovo if they have 1b each to spare on gifts to Trump..

      The money they paid is not going to some fund to help Gaza or Palestine or whomever it goes directly to a private entity owned by Trump…literally self enrichment.

      Orbán is planning to pay Trump with OUR MONEY. I hope it reaches as many people as possible, and someone explains them that this is going to affect them directly.

      This is incorrect tho. Romania refused. The president made a statement and all that (although some moron politicians are still „thinking about it“).

      Trump is a greedy child. Why the US elected him TWICE, I will never understand

      Kazakhstan is the only red state where I can see this not being a stupid move.

      They are sandwiched by Russia and China. They are as secularized and western as contemporary muslim countries can be, but their geographic position prevents leveraging that to the fullest to get closer to EU.

      So they have to balance everyone, sucking up to China, Russia, and the US at the same time, while trying to get closer to other regional powers (Turkey, EU, India, possibly Israel even) as much, as their location allows.

      Screw the Europeans who joined this farce.

      Hungary will pay that 1 billion $? That worst performing economy in the EU? Maybe that’s the reason why they are so dirty ass poor if they giving money to scammers like that

      Sweet Jesus…. a brand new national embarrassment just dropped.
      This signing from „our“ Prime Minister with no mandate and legitimacy should in no way pass through the National Assembly for ratification.

      To be in the same box with Orban’s Hungary and Belarus is a brand new type of Hell I was not aware existed.
