If ICE can bypass warrants through internal memos, that’s a dangerous precedent for everyone’s civil liberties, not just undocumented immigrants. That kind of unchecked authority should scare people.

      Americans who are paying attention are terrified and are aware that their Democratic representatives continue to operate as if everything is fine. Today 7 democrats voted FOR a bill to keep funding ICE. Condemning this and doing nothing else is the SAME AS DOING NOTHING so look in the mirror Richard Blumenthal.

      I think 70+% of Americans are sufficiently terrified by everything that this “administration” has done in the past year, thanks, and in reasonable anticipation of what MAGA fascists will do in the next three.

      There doesn’t appear to be a single MAGA-GOP elected or appointed official, or a staff employee or military officer, who hasn’t violated the Constitution or supported its violation. That terrifies me, & along with the grievous atrocities perpetrated by DHS/ICE and the demented CIC, these actions violate every moral code I’ve held my entire life.

      Some internal memo doesn’t override the 4th amendment. ICE policy is unlawful and in direct violation of the constitution. Every article should have that in the headline, not making it sound like it’s legal.
