    1. He’s playing the game he thinks is right. Trump is unpredictable but so far Zelensky didn’t cave and give in to his moronic demands.

    2. Also the enemy of my enemy. What Trump is doing hurts Russia and China, who are hurting Ukraine

If Zelensky starts fucking around then the USA will openly support Russia. He needs to continue good diplomacy

    4. Calling him out won’t work. Americans are either too far up Trump’s arse to hear criticism of him, already know he’s the most disgusting and pathetic creature anybody ever stuffed into a suit and kicked up to the Capitol so more criticism won’t change anything… or somewhere in between where they’ll view criticism of the President as an attack on the country and all it’s done previously.

He is working with what he has and just has to endure the prick until America gets a fucking grip and starts being an adult again.

    5. Zelensky has no choice but to walk a tightrope between US and Europe.

And it is absolutely dumb as fuck that’s a tightrope.

      Trump ruins everything.

Europe can hurt the US. Trump may not like it, but much of his economy is dependent on Europe. That means Europeans can stand up to Trump if they really need to (like right now). However, Ukraine has no way to do any serious damage to the US (other than by losing the war and getting NATO in trouble, which they definitely don’t want to do). So Zelensky is just doing damage control. Standing up to Trump does nothing for Ukraine right now other than that it would be morally right, cathartic, and very deserved. But Ukraine can’t fight with karma points. Intelligence and EU-paid American weapons are still valuable to the war effort, and Trump is thin-skinned and petty enough to take those things away just because Zelensky says something he doesn’t like. Zelensky is critical of Europe precisely because he trusts that they won’t abandon him and his country.

Ukraine stil needs US support, the EU is too slow speeding up the rearming of itself and supporting Ukraine. I hate that we (the EU) put him and Ukraine in this position. The EU should enforce a no fly zone right away and give Russia 2 weeks to exit or they will be bombed.

Has no choice. Europe is still dragging their feet and there’s things that, unfortunately, America has that Europe does not have.

It’s the only game that works with that demented narcissist. There was an interview on the radio with someone who worked with Trump in their first term and donated to his election fund. He said you never demand anything of Trump. You have to meet him and spend your time telling him how wonderful he is and puffing up his ego and then drop in what you are after and hope he decides to do it. If you push him he will just double down and go contrary. He is an arrogant twat who believes his own bullshit.

    10. He’s intelligent enough to know how to play the game. He knows no matter what Trump says, a bit of flattery will get him back on track.

Could you imagine having to placate the orange clown to try and save your country and people. God bless Zelenskyy

Trump didn’t “blame Ukraine for being the obstacle to peace”

This is such an insane talking point.

He said Ukraine is ready to settle for peace yet.

Seems Zelinsky’s acting experience is coming into play here. Act like yoh’re doing what trump wants and trump is happy.

Trump constantly displays his adversarial and contemptuous feelings toward Europe — seemingly more aligned with Russian President Vladimir Putin — how much can the continent really count on the US umbrella in case of Russian intervention? What price should the EU be ready to pay, in terms of foregone sovereignty, to hold onto a guarantee that may no longer exist?

    15. There’s a lot of moronic talk about Trump playing 4D chess (as if he could even play the regular 2D kind).

Zelensky has to actually navigate something like a 4D chess game with this moron, with the villain Putin, with the well-meaning but not ideally organized EU, with his own parliament etc etc, and by golly he’s not made a single truly wrong move so far. My respect for him only grows.

Zelensky , to some extent, is a kindred spirit of Trump.

      Bear with me.

Both were TV personalities and outsiders elected after general dissatisfaction over the political establishment.

Both also command vicious armies that they will and do use.

By contrast, Eurocrats and transient well-meaning prime ministers are of little use to Ukraine.

Zelensky Is enough of a man to put pride aside for the benefit of his people. If praising a demented buffoon helps take the ruzzians down, that’s the way

    18. Trump’s a very severe narcissist with the control to the world’s most important military and it does not matter if you are right or not or if you mean what you say or not. The only thing is to not hurt his ego. Otherwise you will have to face shit like how he went crazy about Groenland because denmark did not give him the nobel Prize.

Plus he’s obviously a Russian asset. So Zelensky is IMHO, doing the right thing by not crossing trump even if Trump’s a walking insult to Ukraine and is playing Putin’s hand. Because, it could get even worse.

    19. We won’t know until it ends up on pages of history, but I seriously doubt he lost his wits and resolve to achieve the best outcome for Ukraine.
