      I mean at the end of the day both are saying globalization is problematic just with different words.

      The radical difference is that we are a middle power and they are a hegemon in this new world.

      Yeah. One gave one of the greatest speeches of their nation’s history.

      The other uttered a thinly veiled threat like a movie villain…

      Someone born smart, with a great education and experience and at the peak of his game.

      And an old con man at the end of his rope battling dementia and complete collapse of his physical health.

      These jobs are important. Hire accordingly.

      Carney, measured and thoughtful, gave us a moment of clarity and a proposal for forging pragmatic alliances between “middle power”nations. Trump, raging and threatening, is the perfect symbol for the rapid decline of the American empire.

      Funny, I think they’re actually quite aligned in the end of globalism as we know it, which is the real takeaway from both their speeches. One is simply the hegemonic entity, the other a middle power.
