      There is no US base in Iceland.

      There’s a NATO base (multiple countries) and a short wave communication site.

      Some of these „Permanent US bases“ are foreign bases with US military present. i.e. Rota Spain and Siganella, Sicily.

      The bases in the UK are all RAF bases with US forces present at them along with RAF personnel. We’re tenants, we dont own the bases themselves.

      Europe should do the same though, some military bases spread out in the states.

      Might help the US get slow down the ever increasing $38 trillion dollar debt if Europe threw them out.

      A continent of 500m people needing the protection of a country of 350m people from a country of 140m people that has a gpd about a tenth of the EU’s gdp. 

      Kind of pathetic, honestly. No wonder every US president for the last 30 years has been begging Europe to reinvest in their militaries and defend themselves without US assistance.

      EU/UK should shut down half the bases if Trump imposes Tariffs. Allow the other half to remain on condition Trump stops acting like an asshole to his „allies“ and countries that have supported the US on all it’s foolish errands around the world.
