He threatens tariffs and the stock market dips. He walks them back, the stock market recovers.

    It’s blatant.

Market manipulation yet again. And spineless republicans continue to enable/allow this to happen. The day of reckoning for the cannot come soon enough.

    Former allies.

The US has made it abundantly clear what they think of us.

  4. The new framework will be exactly what is already in place with regards to security and US military presence in the country. It’ll be exactly like the NAFTA negotiations all over again. Everything will be the same and all of this insanity will have been to maintain the status quo for literally no reason.

did he nominate himself for the peace prize by avoiding a war of his own making?

He did it for his friends to buy the dip and make record profits when they sell after the dip.

  7. So some functional adult took the demented one aside and gave him some warm milk and a blankie? We’re back to where we were 5, 10, 15 years ago, but our reputation is trashed?

It’s past time to remove him from office. He should never have been sworn in in the first place. J6 was his idea, and the insurrection never stopped.

So in the end, after the threats, instilling fear for many who would’ve been impacted by war, disrupting the markets, antagonizing our allies, etc… all that was accomplished was that we will get to continue to use Greenland as we have been only with the people who live there hating us.

Well no, it distracted from the Epstein files and anything constructive they could’ve been doing at the World Economic Forum.

    Mission Accomplished!

  9. Stop acting like this is a victory–ffs, wish we could ban DailyBeast clickbait like this.

Trump follows a consistent pattern of saying what will benefit him most in the moment. He also follows a consistent pattern of saying what he actually wants, walking it back when it’s unpopular, and then doing it anyways a little bit later.

  10. Tanks the market, buys low and changes his mind for the rebound, its market manipulation.

Trump just gets off saying chaotic things, walking around preening and flexing like a bodybuilder, having people get angry at him, having all press (foreign and domestic) running around in a frenzy, but in the end, when people start doing things like sell off their U.S. Treasurys, threaten to pull out of the World Cup and Olympics — he backtracks and claims a deal has been struck and victory has been achieved.

But, in a few days, he’ll find a new situation to shit on, and we’ll go through this whole thing again.

Woulda been a great time to kidnap the terrorist like he did the dude in Venezuela

As soon as Trump encounters the smallest bit of real resistance, he backs down. TAKE NOTE!!!

  14. Embarrassing that the Republicans have to fluff Trump by chanting Art of the Deal. Which is apparently- Decry an unfair policy and propose a crazy solution like invasion. Don’t respond to overtures but allow stock market to crash while stating how tough you are. Meet with said opponents who privately tell you to pound sand. Approve the same solution that has been in place for years and brag it’s because of your deal making skills. Make money from all the stock you bought when the market tanked when the stock market surges after the agreement. Have your people brag about The Art of the Deal even though the book was all fiction and your brain is powered by two mice fighting over a wedge of cheese.

  15. For the next three years, if we just parade this old bitch around Western Europe, only let him take meetings with EU leaders, and keep him away from Miller, maybe we’ll end up with high speed rail.

My take, him and the tecnobois haven’t abandoned the idea of invading Greenland at all. This was a test to see how much internal resistance there would be, push the Overton window even further by normalizing the idea of attacking an ally, and then a reason to milk the markets.

  17. I read somewhere that the reason he won’t release his medical records is they show he was tragically born without a spine.
