Very happy about this since Ben & Matt got Netflix to promise bonuses for their crew if the film did well. Hopefully sets a precedent industry-wide.

It was a very solid flick too. Most Netflix movies are garbage but this felt like an actual solid movie with a great cast of actual actors.

Ah yes. Let’s measure two trash Netflix films by using the numbers Netflix shares with us. I’m sure this matters somehow.

  4. These Netflix movies generally start with a solid first and second act and fall completely on their face in the third act

The standard Netflix tentpole flick – A list actors with a C list script. You watch it and a year from now you can watch it again because nothing about it was memorable.

I think the film nailed the mood and atmosphere. Ensemble were all very charismatic and did the most they could do with what they were given.

The screenplay was just so meh.

You have Oscar nominated Catalina Sandino Moreno and prospective Oscar frontrunner Teyanna Taylor and they’re basically just window dressing. Counting money for half of the movie.

    I gave it 3/5 stars.

The only good movie Joe Carnahan ever did was Smokin’ Aces and I’ll fight you if you disagree.

The ending as awful but before that the movie was very entertaining
