    1. Nice try metrolinx we see you trying to get a project that’ll last until 2075

    2. The Montreal tunnel probably makes sense, but here’s hoping Alto learns from the UK’s HS2 disaster. Unnecessary tunnels through flat countryside to appease wealthy NIMBYs basically killed that project.

    3. This project needs a massive scope reduction.

As it stands they will spend billions on building it, and then operate it the way the Spanish did theirs with recent consequences. (Look up the videos of their trains vibrating ever more over the last few years). The idea this will ever work as well as Asian HSR is a total pipedream.

Pick some doable subset of this, do it, make it a success, then grow it.

    4. Oooh, maybe they can partner with Ford and tunnel the 401. Both projects are just as likely to happen.

    5. can this Toronto tunnel be doug fords fucking vanity tunnel instead of that bullshit highway 400 tunnel idea?

I am just hoping they can increase the speeds before they start building. Cause right now its pretty pathetic for something that isn’t even going to be built for another 15 years.

Don’t you dare put forth an idea that will get Doug Ford excited for a 401 tunnel. OMG

    8. Any Quebecers got a Simpsons monorail episode clip dubbed en français, svp?

    9. It will just get cancelled by the next govt lol. And good riddance at that its just a nepo prestige project anyway which wont make a single difference in the lives of 99% of Canadians.

Like….do you actually think Alberta wants to pay for this S***? I guarantee you they dont.
