      Here in France, Macron is widely disliked, but I don’t see an issue with the messages; it seems reasonable and diplomatic. Leaking it, however, is not a sign of cleverness.

      You know, in a hypothetical world, where presidents could have infinite terms, I bet you he would win another election, maybe not the next immediate one, but the one after that.

      lately, I’ve started thinking that all of this is just a systemic failure of the system. I mean rising student debts->disenfranchised students->students dropping out/not completing schools->whatever we have in the USA today. But what do I know, I’m just a random internet goober.

      Europe needs to kick us out of our European bases if this actually looks like we’ll do something militarily. (I still don’t think we will but it’ll be ugly.) We’d have to pull up all our aircraft carriers to base out of. Canada certainly isn’t going to let us base troops out of there. The northern US doesn’t have any full military bases just some guard ones. He hasn’t thought the logistics through, big surprise.

      My mom has dementia, and I am telling you, this is dementia behavior. They get obsessed with this kind of stuff. My mom was convinced that she had to sit parked outside the bank so that „they“ wouldn’t come to take her money out of it, something the bank would gladly allow if she didn’t sit out there. It was an obsession with her, she spent hours down there doing this. The bank employees knew her by name. She’s in a facility now, and the obsession there is that a lady wants to take her glasses and wear them in front of her to see her reaction. Just bizarre stuff, just like this. I guarantee this is dementia and nobody is going to step up and stop him, so this is what he does.
