  1. As a european, what the democrat politicians think isn’t relevant until they get a majority and willingness to actually put their foot down against the federal government.

The only lawmakers whose opinions matter at the moment are republicans.

And I haven’t read about any significant push back from republican politicians.

And no, republicans that aren’t seeking reelection doing a tour in europe or tv interviews (people like tillis, bacon or mccaul) with only vague assurances that they support nato doesn’t mean jack shit.

  2. This president has anti social personality disorder. Yes, this is our president. Please think about this. Please think about how Ted Bundy arrogantly attended his own trial for the murders and he was arrogant, smug, and greatly enjoying all of the attention. He absolutely believed that he was going to win and he was representing himself as his own counsel. He was so deeply delusional that he was convinced he was being falsely charged and unfairly targeted by the state. HE BELIEVED THIS. This is how profoundly delusional this man was. This man also had anti social personality disorder.

Please think about Jeff Dahmer. He just went about his business in his apartment doing all he did not really thinking about or understanding or comprehending that he was going to get caught. No Dahmer just acted and did not think about consequences. He had dead bodies under his bed, body parts in his freezer, blood everywhere on the rug. To anyone normal, he was completely insane but in his insanity, it was business as usual taking some new victim back to the apartment and doing what he would do to them.

This is the level of delusion, insanity, unhinged and detached from reality we are seeing with this president. He is completely divorced and detached from all reality. This president HAS Cluster B Personality Disorder and it is a very serious devastating disorder that results in insane behaviors and patterns as seen in the likes of a Dahmer or a Bundy. It manifests in Trump as being a complete law unto himself with zero regard or care for consequences whatsoever. He wants what he wants and he will do ANYTHING to get it. People with this disorder usually have different brains and also you throw in upbringing which exacerbates the proclivities. Fred Trump was a sociopath so there you go too, genetic condition.

It is bad. It is real real bad. This president is completely bonkers. COMPLETELY INSANE AND BONKERS. It is just year one and look at all the insanity that happens now by the day. He has surrounded himself by basically whacko opportunists- like Christian Nationalists Hegseth and Vought, creepy sadistic Miller, power and fame hungry sell out gaslighting, psychologically damaged Vance raised by alcoholic addict mother with FIVE HUSBANDS, weird RFK, backward hick Noem- with all sorts of bizarre and way out in left field ideas.

    Bad, bad, BAD!!

The man is completely fucking mental and he has the keys to one of the largest nuclear stockpiles on earth.

  4. How is every celebrity, influencer, anyone with a platform not creating a rallying cry from their platforms to end this madness.

Never has it been easier to reach so many people and everyone is just 🤷‍♂️

Ironic that the leader of the self proclaimed“anti-participation trophy party”, wants a participation trophy…or else.
The party that cried for years about needing their 2a rights to protect themselves from a heavy handed government, ushers in a heavy handed governance. Cries aloud that protesters should be killed by federal agents with immunity, yet calls Jan 6th a patriotic act.
Is there no end to the hypocrisy?

  6. I had to check to make sure that this article in The Hill was not written by Stephen Miller. Turns out that it wasn’t written by him, just someone who wants to be him.

The EU should just pass a resolution giving Trump something named a Nobel Prize. Then tell the US to fuck off they got what they want next time they try to “negotiate.”

  8. J-the-Kidder on

Boy it sure would be nice if the media would help sound the alarm on a clearly too old and too demented president. But hey, gotta protect whatever or something and be complicit in it all.

  9. He’s successfully convinced the world that he’ll trigger WWIII because he’s upset that he (rightfully) didn’t win the Peace Prize. He absolutely needs to be removed from office. He’s playing with fire

  10. Ok_Sound9973 on

I would have Thought Ted Cruz would have known better not to insult America old friends but I was wrong the only someone talking like they got Sense are the Republican who are retiring

Well apparently they have people with college degrees but none of them can create a scenario where something is proofed before it goes out.

Wait a minute……is his staff homeschooled?

Democrats shouldn’t just hammer Trump, but instead every time be hammering the Republican Senators and Representatives who refuse to allow Democrats the ability to impeach Trump.

I also was not awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, where do I sign up to receive a chunk of Denmark?

  14. KellyAnn3106 on

Dear Europe, Start dumping our Treasury bonds.

Dear Denmark, Stop selling us Ozempic.

Maybe one of those will inflict enough pain to get the attention of any remaining adults in the administration.

  15. Wow, they really got him with that statement.
If they’re gonna go after him, hit him where it hurts. Maybe say it’s unhinged and embarrassing, even for a pedophile!

  16. Mysterious_Jicama_55 on

It’s the most humiliating communication from this administration, and I’ve seen its pardons of meth dealers, rapists, seditionists, and war criminals. It’s a hard conversation to have but…America- it’s time to take away Grandpa’s keys. It’s for the best.

  17. It’s not embarrassing. It is the largest national security threat this country has faced since WW2.

  18. Dismal-Bullfrog-7851 on

It’s genuinely concerning how Congress continues to fail to take meaningful action despite all the alarming behavior. The hypocrisy is endless when you see politicians giving stern talks but then falling in line when it matters. Honestly, as a European observer, I’ve given up expecting the US political system to actually address this situation. The whole internet has become such an echo chamber that it’s nearly impossible to get important messages through to the people who need to hear them. What’s truly baffling is why nobody in power has done anything substantial about this unhinged behavior, regardless of which party benefits from it. These quiet transition talks happening behind the scenes show that even Republicans recognize the instability, but they’ll likely just want a soft retreat to maintain control until the next election cycle.

  19. Man, I remember being in the United Nations club in high school and having to learn a bunch of stuff about politics, history, geography, etc. You really needed to research shit to stand a chance of winning any of the fancy awards. Turns out you can confuse Denmark with Norway and still be fucking President of the United States in this day and age.

This only confirms what we’ve known about Trump all along. That he’s a petty, extremely vain and malignant narcissist whose only concern is with his image, his ratings, his wealth and popularity—or lack thereof.

A deranged, pathological blowhard who can’t cope with any measure of humiliation or defeat, which is why every competition or election that he’s ever lost has been „rigged“ against him.

It’s also why Trump’s failure to win the prize resulted in the president of FIFA creating a fake award and organizing a fake event to hand Trump a fake trophy for bringing fake peace to the world. A painstaking effort just to stroke his ego in return for some accommodations.

It’s why Trump has not been able to shut up about it since the winner of the Peace Prize was announced, and why he continues to tout that he ended multiple wars despite all evidence to the contrary.

And it’s also why Machado made the decision to „present“ her award to Trump, despite it not being recognized by the prize committee, so she might convince him to recognize HER claim to power in exchange for the greatest form of flattery Trump could receive.

It’s baffling that Trump used his newfound political leverage over a country he just invaded for oil as a means to extort his way into securing a participation trophy from an opposition leader whose chance at power depended on whether or not she was willing to „share“ her award with Trump, and an award he never came close to earning.

The future of the Venezuelan people hinges on Trump’s narcissistic fantasies and his insecurities over failing to win a prize that he didn’t deserve in the first place. Think about how insane that sounds.

Every action he takes starts with one fundamental question, „how does this benefit me?“

His new appetite for expansionism and his foreign policy are just projections of his ego. His own self-worth is all that matters to him. He has no consideration for the consequences of his actions unless the outcomes favor him in some way. How this all plays out is contingent on what he can individually, politically, or financially gain from it.

The fate of everyone involved in this conflict and the conflicts to come rests on how Donald Trump is personally impacted by these events.

I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention that Trump has already bombed a record breaking number of countries within his first year back in office. And now he’s threatening to do the same to other nations and/or territories that don’t toe whatever line he draws in the sand.

These extrajudicial murders, bombings and military incursions were never about drugs or „liberating the people of Venezuela,“ especially considering how the Trump admin has been weighing the decision to keep the current regime in power as a reward for their continuing compliance.

This was always about justifying military escalation, foreign conflict and regime change for oil.

More notably, this is also a launching point for broader US military involvement in countries or territories that don’t submit to Trump’s deranged and narcissistic whims. A move that empowers Trump to attack and/or ensnare any foreign state he deems a threat or a strategic boon to the US.

It shouldnt be difficult to acknowledge the flagrant hypocrisy of someone clamoring for a participation trophy for his pretend „peacemaking“ efforts while he commits crimes against humanity and while he reshapes US foreign policy to align with his own self-interests; converting his base from so-called „America first“ isolationists into staunch supporters of US imperialism.

This also doesn’t begin to address Trump’s rampant militarism at home. The hypocrisy is astounding.

While Trump and his flock are demanding that he receive a Nobel Prize for his feckless efforts at „negotiating“ an imaginary peace around the world, he is simultaneously behaving like a militaristic dictator; waging war against the American people and centralizing authoritarian control over the country.

  21. I read this comment elsewhere, and take no credit for it. But it is an excellent, cogent analysis.

“Greenland presented no military threat. NATO already maintained a presence on the island, and there was no credible evidence of imminent Russian or Chinese aggression. Trump approached Greenland not as a sovereign entity embedded in international law, but as an asset. His language reflected the logic of acquisition rather than diplomacy — valuation, utility, ownership. In this sense, the proposal was not anomalous but consistent with his lifelong worldview, one shaped in commercial real estate rather than public service.

When Denmark rejected the proposal outright, the reaction was disproportionate. This pattern closely resembles what psychologists describe as narcissistic injury — a response triggered when entitlement collides with refusal. In such cases, rejection is not processed neutrally. It is experienced as humiliation, and humiliation demands redress. Withdrawal becomes unthinkable because it would imply defeat. The original object — Greenland — becomes secondary to the need to reassert dominance.

For his domestic base, the Greenland proposal functioned symbolically rather than practically. Supporters did not evaluate it on feasibility or legality. Instead, they interpreted resistance as disrespect toward their chosen leader. Loyalty to Trump became synonymous with loyalty to the nation itself. Thus the Greenland episode underscores a central truth about Trumpism: it is not driven by coherent long-term strategy.”

  22. this_my_sportsreddit on

By ‚hammer‘, do you mean say words and provide no meaningful action in response?

  23. Thebritishdovah on

    So, all Greenland is:

Trump throwing a massive bitch fit because he didn’t get a nobel prize and legit thinks Denmark has something to do with it, so he is gonna to grab Greenland to punish them.

I think Fifa is responsible for this via making up a peace prize and now, the orange muppet thinks he is entitled to more prizes.

If I hear “unhinged” one more time. Jesus. How about:

    Insane
    Psychotic
    Deranged

Only Monday, but already shaping up to be another bad week for the administration.
