      What are those little dots that are in the area of the Al-Hasakah governorate that the YPG/Kurdish militias still control? Are they areas controlled by Arab locals loyal to the central government?

      Looks like the new Syrian government will repeat the mistakes of the Ba’ATH by keeping the country as an hyper centralised state. 🙄

      Golan heights are also Syria and are not correctly marked on this map as occupied

      It’s called Syrian Arab Republic.

      Kurds, being 5% of the country, and trying to control 1/3 of the state was already funny.

      Too bad. The Kurdish doner kebab guy (mostly pkk) from Stockholm must be very upset. He can still fly to northern Iraq and join the fight. Oh well, Europe must be very cozy though.
