The yellow classification isn’t drought conditions, it just indicates that it’s „abnormally dry.“

Yellow – abnormally dry

Light orange/brown – moderate drought

Orange – Severe drought

Red – Extreme drought

Dark red – exceptional drought

almost the entire South East is under drought. From the top of Maine, to the bottom of Florida, all the way west to El Paso, Texas. thats fucked. also, ironically, the part of America that has the lowest support of human-cause climate change
