I completely expected it to be a company owned by the Trump family. Then again, they’ll likely just appoint themselves as the royal family.

I’m so glad we cleared out all that corruption just to replace it with a rewards program for billionaire donors. It’s much more efficient this way.

MAGA and GOP should be punished by voters this November for protecting their criminal president from corruption and raping those innocent kids by not releasing the Epstein files.

  4. Where are all the members of the MAGA cult who went totally insane over Hunter Biden having a position in a company in Ukraine? Huh? Where are they on this?

  5. Weird how we don’t hear a peep about drugs anymore. It’s almost like it was always about oil and never about drugs.

Trump will take over the biggest company in the states and make them his own. Then he will rename USA and call it Trumpslavia. Finally he will be a King of course and Trump and Putin will play chess.

  7. I assume that a percentage of the sale went to a Swiss bank account in Donald’s name.

The efficiency of this grift is honestly impressive because they managed to frame buying foreign oil as a win while **handing the monopoly directly to a campaign donor**. It completely destroys the narrative of „America First“ energy when **policy is openly auctioned off to the highest bidder** right in front of everyone. At this point, they aren’t even trying to hide the quid pro quo because they know the news cycle moves too fast for anyone to stay mad about it.

I’ve been trying to think of any reason, even one that’s embarrassingly thin on truth that the US Government would use an offshore bank account, let alone one in Qatar to hold revenues for these sales.

I’m a reasonably smart guy and I can’t think of one that doesn’t involve corruption.

It’s absolutely breathtaking that trump was able to weaponize white America’s innate red hot hate for minorities to full and utterly turn us into a banana Republic. He rightfully figured out that American hate outlasts their interest in freedom and self preservation.
    Unreal

This is essentially an elaborate bank robbery, using the US military as the robbers. Risking the lives of US service members, killing dozens of Venezuelans and Cubans, wasting tens of billions of dollars on this robbery, all to transfer the money from Venezuelan oil sales into offshore accounts (Geneva and Qatar) run by trump’s people. After that it becomes trump’s piggy bank.

Which „bank“ is the trump crime family going to rob next? Greenland? Canada? Mexico? Minnesota? The US Treasury?

I mean, I think it would be difficult to make the deal with an O&G company that had not substantially contributed to Trump’s campaign.

EVERYTHING is about money. I believe wanting to take over Greenland is about money. One theory is that Musk wants data centers there because it is cold and data centers generate a lot of heat and need cooling. Unknown if there are rare earth metals there or not. Trump is getting his orders from the billionaires, and he is willing to give it to them as long as they pay him. Now the US military is doing the bidding of billionaires instead of protecting our country.

  14. The donor will at least be profiting from MAGA, that’s more than his dumbass base will get.

  15. All insider trading – oil, pardons, crypto, tv networks, stocks. I remember when that wasn’t allowed by law.

US is a full on oligarchy. All of the Nazi shit is just window dressing over an economic agenda by and for billionaires.

So, per the article the donor has been in the process of purchasing a Venezuelan based refineries that operate in the United States that has the infrastructure to process the heavy crude for “years”. Qatar was chosen to hold the proceeds from recent sales to avoid lien claims from Venezuela creditors. We will see what happens, Venezuela desperately needs infrastructure investment which will likely come from US based companies (publicly traded) and the oil proceeds.
