That’s like a greedy corporate asking unionized workers to only strike on weekends…

„It pisses me off. If those cops worked for me, they’d have a problem right now.“

They are not cops. I don’t know why he’s using that language. The arrests they are doing are not legal and should not be normalized.

    >Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara shook as he watched video of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers pulling a woman — a U.S. citizen on her way to a medical appointment — from her car.

    >The woman, Aliya Rahman, can be heard on video telling ICE officers she’s disabled. Rahman’s lawyer said she was overwhelmed by conflicting commands from the federal officers

    >“Obviously, I don’t know why law enforcement officers initially approached the vehicle,“ O’Hara said. „It pisses me off to see that, to see men doing that to a woman who’s disabled. It pisses me off. If those cops worked for me, they’d have a problem right now.“

Hiding your face and gloving your hands… is using fear and intimidation… it says vote republican or we hurt you.

Arrest them. Charge them with kidnapping and human trafficking. Remand them to jail on state charges given they are a flight risk and danger to society. Let a jury decide… months from now.

    Do something.

This whole angle just reinforces ACAB. If the police actually protected the people, he’d be out there. Not commenting on events after the fact.

    That’s it. Empty words.

Police are not going to help you. If they were, they’d be *there*

    > Police Chief O’Hara said he doesn’t understand why ICE officer Ross stood in the path of Good’s vehicle more than once.

Brother, they’re not trained. They’re there for the ride (The ride being bullying brown people and anybody who doesn’t like their mission of bullying brown people)

ICE acting like a rogue occupying force in Minneapolis. Local PD is literally watching federal agents terrorize people and says ‘pisses me off.’ Cool.

Too bad he’s not a cop who arrests criminals he witnesses committing crimes or anything.

He’s „pissed off“ the same way Susan Collins is „concerned“ the same way Schumer is „schocked“. Something like 88% of LEOs voted for Trump, they’re not gonna protect us, if any of them do something about ICE it’s because of some personal vendetta.

It pisses him off so much he’s going to go out and disperse more protesters.

  13. Meanwhile Fox News is referring to twin cities citizens as „agitator anarchists“.

  14. If he can’t do anything about it, perhaps he shouldn’t comment at all.

I don’t understand how this situation can be playing out in Minneapolis and the rest of the country is just carrying on with normal life.

Minneapolis police chief says „I’m too scared of the ramifications from the feds to do the right thing and fight terror.“

    > Our officers are told that they give one warning to follow the lawful instruction, to stop impeding

ICE has no jurisdiction over citizens so they have no lawful instruction over us.

  17. Four_in_binary on

Well…..you could actually do something.  Maybe order the officers under your command to no longer assist ice.

You could also…have your officers protect your citizens when they observe their rights being violated.

And maybe….arrest the ice officers for improper and illegal search (no probable cause), illegal detention (no crime has been committed and lack of jurisdiction), and illegal arrest (no probable cause, no judicial warrant).

Just a thought.   Throwing that out there.  Maybe workshop that around.

  18. new_for_confession on

No it doesn’t, their department is 100% cooperating with ICE and violating civil rights of protesters…

  19. Flat-Character4140 on

If it „pisses you off,“ do something about it! Your actions should speak louder than your words.

  20. Is this the same Minneapolis police who brutalized protesters, journalists and bystanders after murdering a man several years ago?

They aren’t cops. That would require going to a police academy.

They aren’t solders. That would require enlisting.

They are however unqualified and trigger happy morons who got only 47 hours of training.
