      The title is a little misleading, as it’s the most popular *broadcast* TV show among Gen Z, not the most popular overall.

      „According to Nielsen data, it was the most-streamed show among young people under 18 for all broadcast television series last year, beating out Abbott Elementary and High Potential (but not streaming only shows like Stranger Things). “

      Still, an interesting piece!

      The zoomer I know who watches it says she saw TikTok clips of it and thought it looked interesting lol

      I watch this show exclusively through YouTube shorts. Probably that’s how people hear about the show.

      Are we talking about Gen Z or Gen Alpha, cause I’ve caught my Gen Alpha kid watching this before.

      It’s a perfectly solid little police procedural – the cast are fun, it’s solidly written, it’s funny but it’s not afraid to go dramatic from time to time to keep the stakes up. There’s 20 episodes a season that are mostly standalone but with recurring threads both narrative and emotional that run throughout. This used to just be what TV was like all the time and there were 6 different shows like this on every night but now it’s more or less just this one.

      While I do think it’s a good show, I don’t know that there’s anything about it that a savvy network couldn’t replicate and make a bunch more shows just like it. People like the old TV model.

      I think this show plus the Chicago [Fire/PD are my favorite but also including Med] series are my current favorite shows for the last handful of years. They are grounded in generally realistic tv scenarios, unlike what 911 has done. Admittedly, I haven’t watch 911 in over a year so I haven’t gotten to the space drama.
