      So they shut the state out of gathering evidence because they were investigating then they end the investigation. obvious cover up.

      You know .. we have a justice system for a reason. These crooks have forgotten the alternative when there is injustice and people’s anger is ignored.

      As far as im aware there is no statute of limitations for federal murder charges.

      Don’t need to investigate if you already determined a murder wasn’t committed. But, he fired four shots … three when he was on the side of the vehicle. Seems like this incident should be investigated. Especially since this ICE agent violated several policies. Like “don’t be in front or behind a vehicle where vehicle movement may require lethal force”.

      Of course they won’t. We need to stop playing into the performative stuff and reporting it like these are serious people making considered decisions. This is corruption to its core, American fascism limited only by what the system can withstand.

      Are they skipping right to prosecution since there’s no need to investigate when you have video from about 9000 different angles that shows him as the aggressors before murdering her?

      Minnesota state & local need to step up and just make arrests on ICE agents’ assaults/rapes/murders. Make the arrest and let the legal system sort out any possible immunity. Force MAGA hands.

      The wifes phone probably has the best angle to show the officer wasn’t hit by the car, I assume they are holding that footage for the trial.

      Good thing we already have fellow FBI legal testimony that Quick Draw McGraw Ross has acted like this before. But I’m sure his history isn’t relevant. Do you realize, there was so much danger, that of all the agents around, watching her reverse to move her vehicle, then moving to drive away, he’s the only one that even bothered to unholster? Again not his first time according to fbi testimony of his last case. Nearly clipped another agent too. According to the law that agent would have been within his rights to shoot back.

      From his incident last year before Good:

      According to Medellin’s December testimony, the plan, which was originated by Ross as team lead, was to just interview Muñoz-Guatemala; but because Ross exited his vehicle and soon drew his gun, Medellin told the court that he, too, unholstered his weapon to “provide coverage with lethal force.” The incident escalated as soon as Ross approached the vehicle, Medellin testified, because he believed Ross “had seen something that made him very uncomfortable and I wanted to be in a good position to support him.” Ross ultimately approached to break the window and got his arm stuck between the car’s B pillar and the headrest.

      I remember, in the before times, when anytime an officer of the government fired their weapon, for any reason,  they were placed on administrative leave while *a thorough investigation into all aspects of the discharge were investigated.* This was done to make sure that any officer, federal, state, or county, MAYBE THOUGHT TWICE BEFORE SHOOTING A SOCCER MOM IN THE FACE.

      Gloves are off, people.

      Strategically this seems wild for the Trump admin (assuming they want to appear somewhat reasonable/not authoritarian monsters).

      If I was trying to be an evil dictator I would be trying to maintain a semblance of rule of law and prosecuted the agent. I

      This administration undermines institutions that protect people. The constitution, laws against rape, murder. If you feel “safe” under this administration you are either a fool or a bully. Most likely some combination.

      There are other words in the Pledge of Allegiance, besides the one MAGA likes to focus on (God).

      „… and justice for all“ come to mind. She, her 6-year-old, and the rest of her family and friends at the very least deserve a trial.

      Funny how they only like some parts when it fits their narrative.

      They have a lot to fear from an investigation. They’d have to find a way to excuse the inexcusable in a court of law rather than the court of public opinion. Their idealogy demands that they can shoot people in the face if they don’t like the look of them.

      I mean, I expected them to hold some kind of sham investigation and then come out and say that the shooting was justified based on their investigation,

      but to come out and blatantly say that there won’t even be a fucking investigation…

      While at the same time preventing state authorities from having access to the evidence in order to roadblock their investigation …

      This isn’t flirting with tyranny and fascism anymore or headed in that direction, this is tyranny and facism period.

      This is the Trump administration, empowering their secret police to act as judge jury executioner of US citizens.

      This is the total breakdown of constitutional based rule of law.

      A government that does not abide by its own laws or constitution has no legitimate authority over the people it is attempting to govern.

      Obviously a police department isn’t there to investigate suspected murderers for suspected murders; it’s to investigate the murderers‘ victims and try to find some way to hold them responsible for being murdered. The party of law and order.

      Well good, then I guess the Minnesota police can take the lead. This certainly is a state crime and typically would be a state investigation. The Feds. can take it over. But, I would suspect it’s harder to prevent the state from exercising its own police role.

      If this had happened under a democratic administration and a federal agent had murdered a maga voter, the republicans would have started at least 18 investigations by now.
