I’ve never seen a musician more driven to destroy his own legacy than Waters.

No, asshole, you don’t have to like every rock group but there is such things as class when someone just passed and you’re there making comments like a twat.

And reducing Sabbath to the guy who bites bats is kind of like referring to Floyd as „that band with the racist dude“

I get it Waters is asshole, but Osbournes including Ozzy have said alot of shitty things about other celebrities but when the energy comes back to them they get all sensitive about it. In this case with Ozzy just passing i get Jack being upset but lets not act like Ozzy never said crappy things about others. Just like to add i’m huge fan of Ozzy’s music so it’s not an attack on him. Celeb’s in general can dish it but can’t take it. My criticism is more about Ozzy’s family they talk shit about so many and than act like victims if they are called out about it

Pink Floyd’s members were middle-class students who met in architectural school. Black Sabbath’s members were working class Brummies who invented the signature ‚heavy metal‘ sound because Tony Iommi had to compensate for losing his fingers working in a steel factory. Obviously these two groups of people would not immediately get along.

The difference is that Ozzy was a well-liked and genuine guy while Roger Waters is an annoying old prick who wants to be constantly contrarian and thinks he is God’s gift to progressive rock. Dude wanted to sue Gilmour and the rest of the band because he didn’t want them to use the ‚Pink Floyd‘ name after he left, only after making a masturbatory semi-biographical album after *he himself* spat on a fan during The Animals concert tour (The Wall still slaps tho ngl)

Whether you agree or disagree with Waters‘ views, he delivers them in such a way that makes him sound like a complete bellend.

Roger Waters‘ legacy is to be a twat. I feel bad for Gilmour having to deal with his shit for years and understand why we cannot have a reunion.
