      Not growing fast enough. If it was, FIFA’s sense of outright shame would have caused them to revoke the stupid prize, make some sort of vacuous statement, and then disavow any association with the United States which is now a pariah.

      FIFA is one of the most corrupt international organizations on the planet, notably. They openly created a fake prize just to present Trump as a bribe for US World Cup special favors. Who could possibly be a FIFA official and feel embarrassment at this point ?

      Just wait till the actual World Cup. Americans in general don’t give a fuck about soccer and international visitors won’t risk coming.

      Although it’s a much smaller level, look at the recent wild juniors hockey tournament held in the US. Two years ago I attended the tournament in Halifax, NS. Gold medal tickets were going for $5k. This years tournament had attendance numbers that wouldn’t rival a WNBA game between two of the worst teams in the league
