Damn, if the regime is admitting to slaughtering 5,000 people then the real casualty figure must be 10,000+.
Unofficial (quoted by docs on the ground) count is quoted as upwards of 12000.
This is a warning not an admission. If the protests aren’t in the millions and aren’t equipped with BGM 71 TOWs then forget about regime change.
