Thank God for the Asian grocery stores that sell ACTUAL brown sugar, not turbinado sugar

Yes! I buy the same brand in our local Asian supermarket chain!
My German friends would always get annoyed with me when I complained I couldn’t find brown sugar. „Of course we have brown sugar in every grocery store!“ No, no: BROWN sugar. Soft brown sugar.
I have also sometimes found Arm & Hammer baking soda boxes there, which is more convenient than buying tiny packets of Natron.
I go to Denmark to buy my brown sugar, I always have an unopened bag at home waiting just in case!

Nice! Asian grocer near us also has creamy peanut butter without sugar. 🎉

You can also make it! I buy the Goldsaft brand Sirup stuff and mix little of that with regular white sugar and works just the same!

Just look for Vollrohrzucker.

Yeah. The next time I go back (whenever that is), Domino’s brown is definitely something I am bringing back. I haven’t found American brown sugar near me at all, only raw sugar.

Molasses + white sugar + elbow grease will also do the trick (i warm up the molasses slightly before.

Order a jar of molasses and just mix that with white sugar to make it brown whenever you need it. Will last you years and means your sugar will never harden.

I bought the same kind to make real chocolate chip cookies. It’s great. Not quite as soft as what I remember, but works well.

So, once you finally find your brown sugar, just store it in your freezer. It will never turn hard like a rock on you.

You have to look for „Vollrohrzucker“, it’s something between light brown sugar and dark brown sugar.

Literally every DM has the [soft, packed brown sugar you seek](https://www.dm.de/dmbio-vollrohrzucker-p4066447703863.html).
