That is something it definitely wouldn’t do. F that. At the minimum an election needs to be after the american midterms.

It really wouldn’t, though. Unless something dramatic happens over the next few months, nothing indicates that the Libs maintain high enough support to secure a majority. A snap election now or „soon“ would just return us to the exact same position, if not an even tighter minority, regardless of who wins.

We have political stability? Are we manufacturing something at the star? Do they wish for the days of the F* Trudeau folks…? They only people who may lament Carney are progressive and even then, PP is not an option.

What the fuck is it with right wing news organizations peddling election bullshit all the time? We had an election less than a year ago.

We did this song and dance already once in 2021. Barely anything changed and things proceeded exactly the same after the election as they had before. Can we at least wait a couple years before we have to go back to an exhausting election season that slams the brakes on the parliamentary process in favor of embarrassing grand standing and nothing promises?

I’m not one of the people who is happy with most of the moves Carney is taking, but at least the LPC under him is consistent and actually interested in governing over campaigning. Can we just have that for a little while longer?
