The Internet Watch Foundation cannot be trusted to tell the truth about anything. They are currently spearheading the Chat Control lobbying push in the EU. The IWF wants AI powered mass surveillance watching everything you do online, along with mandatory encryption backdoors and other authoritarian ideas.

The author of this article is demanding a ban on open source AI, and is literally praising Meta for keeping AI tech in the hands of large corporations only. That sounds a lot like a slight remix of the Effective Altruist idea that only large corporations can be trusted with AI technology.
