How does something like this even get approved? I can’t imagine HR at any normal company letting that slide.
A functioning Congress would investigate this, identify the individuals who perpetrated and approved this, and impeach department leadership.
A functioning media ecosystem would make sure this was a main story on the six o’clock news and on the front page of the paper for weeks, investigate until every fact was uncovered, root out every individual who was involved, and embarrass the government so much that it had to respond.
A functioning opposition party would punish the republicans for allowing something this to happen and failing to act or hold anyone accountable, and the midterms would be one of the most lopsided elections ever.
Unfortunately, we have none of those things. And we are being governed by people who find inspiration from literal nazis.
