      Here are some highlights from the article. I believe it’s a good summary of the article. One part is in French and the other is in English.

      Are we really surprised though? It’s effectively a policy geared towards the interests and sensibilities of the Montreal landed elite in a province with a regulatory mechanism in place to make good on even a portion of the non restricted firearms collection. For every other province, there just isn’t the same level of interest, enforcement capacity, or data available to even begin contemplating a full crack at it.

      Ultimately, had they only done 1 OiC, they might’ve had a shot. Adding two more though only drew more ire and increased the inability to enforce it.
