      Great article.

      >The party now receives single digits in ridings it used to win, Fournier points out, and that kind of collapse normally takes years—not months—to recover from. Some voters may never return. “Those students who protested Liberal tuition hikes in 2012 are now in their mid-30s,” says Fournier, who also teaches physics and astronomy at Montreal’s Cégep de Saint-Laurent. “And I can tell you that they’ll never, ever vote Liberal.”

This is so good, this is exactly it. It’s me and a lot of other people. Charest was Trump before Trump, where he used completely evil tactics to wedge our society and targeted students with police brutality. I was one of those students and it’s really scary when your own government is specifically targeting you. The hate they tried to grow in our society, only for political gains, was something that scare you for life, especially when you are the target.

I was super moderate before that, did not hold strong political positions. After the Charest era, I understood the importance of politics, because it can be used to attack you.

I’m proud that I never voted Liberal and I will never vote for them, for any reason whatsoever. Over the years, they just showed that it was the party of corruption and shady deals.
