Wie Associated Press und Defense News berichten, haben europäische Länder – darunter Deutschland, Frankreich, das Vereinigte Königreich und Schweden – symbolische Militärkontingente auf die Insel entsandt.
Das Ziel ist klar: der US-Regierung zu zeigen, dass Dänemark nicht allein dasteht. Die Anwesenheit von Truppen aus so vielen Ländern bedeutet, dass jede Verletzung der Souveränität Grönlands automatisch einen Angriff auf die Streitkräfte wichtiger europäischer Länder darstellen würde. Dies ist ein seltener Moment, in dem NATO-Verbündete mobilisieren, um ihr Territorium vor dem politischen Druck des Bündnisführers zu schützen.

It’s 15 soldiers sent by France and 13 by Germany… Mostly a token to make a headline and „send a statement“ aka Europe’s specialty.
Two regards fighting
I would hope the American people and armed forces turn on Trump if he actually takes action. But so far I don’t see the spinless military leaders standing up to him over this. But hopefully we can make it painful on the homefront to force some action to remove him.
People scoffing at the numbers really do not understand how military deployment works. These are advanced parties. If EuroNATO turned up with 10,000 troops there would be nowhere for them to stay, nothing for them to eat and no facilities for maintenance and resupply. This is a planning contingent.
There is plenty of time because despite the rhetoric Mango Mussolini cannot get his goons on the ground in Greenland quickly. They will have to come by boat and Greenland is a long way from the US.
Incidentally Greenland is a thousand miles closer to the UK than it is to the US.
This map is misleading. They’re sending a reconnaissance group, they’re in no way ‚deploying the military‘.

Greek here, I’m against. We need to have good relations with America, we can’t afford this behaviour the others have against it.
