    📢 Wichtiges Update für studentische Ehepartner/neue Einwanderer in Finnland (Gesetzvorschlag ab 2027)

    Derzeit können studentische Ehepartner/neue Einwanderer in Finnland:

    ✅ Registrieren Sie sich auf dem Arbeitsmarkt

    ✅ Nehmen Sie an kostenlosen Integrationssprachkursen teil

    ✅ Erhalten Sie Vorteile fast sofort

    👉 Nach einem neuen Vorschlag (ab 1. Januar 2027) würden studentische Ehegatten, die nach diesem Datum eintreffen, grundsätzlich:

    ❌ Sie haben keinen Anspruch auf Integrationsleistungen

    ❌ Sie haben keinen Zugang zu Vollzeitkursen zur Arbeitsmarktintegration

    Ausnahmen können gelten, wenn die Person:

    ✔️ Hat Finnisch/Schwedisch/Sami als Muttersprache

    ✔️ Verfügt über Finnisch oder Schwedisch auf dem Niveau B1.1

    ✔️ Verfügt über eine Aufenthaltserlaubnis auf der Grundlage eines vorübergehenden Schutzes

    📌 In der Praxis bedeutet das:

    • Sprachstudien müssen möglicherweise selbst finanziert werden

    • Die Lebenshaltungskosten würden hauptsächlich vom Einkommen des Studenten/Einwanderers abhängen

    ⚠️ Hinweis: Dies ist noch ein Vorschlag. Im Falle einer Verabschiedung würde es nur für Personen gelten, die nach dem 1. Januar 2027 nach Finnland ziehen.

      This sounds completely reasonable. It’s already generous that a bachelor’s student’s spouse can get a residence permit, to begin with.

      Cutting out financial benefits make sense since they are required to show funds for sustaining themselves and should not be planning to relocate to a country if they can not.

      But cutting out access to language courses is bone headed. State should work on helping people integrate into society and learning language is one of the best ways they can do that.

      Your title is misleading. The amendment is applied to all new immigrants not only students‘ spouses.

      As someone who is very left leaning and pro immigration, I don’t see a problem with this. I think it’s fair to expect the spouse to be able to provide for themselves if they want to accompany their partner’s study time in Finland.

      Overall, everyone I know who is learning or has reached some level in Finnish through courses is self-funding them anyway.

      Its very sad that graduates are not being prioritised for language courses. But their spouses get everything. Main applicant should be given access to language courses

      I agree with not extending monetary support to them but I firmly believe language courses should be offered free of charge to any interested foreign person who is here. how on earth do they assume immigrants will learn the language otherwise. To deny that is just counterproductive.
