Gemini gewinnt: Drei Jahre nachdem es von ChatGPT überrascht wurde, scheint Gemini alles zu haben, was es braucht, um OpenAI und alle anderen auszuschalten

What a fatal mistake it was for Sam Altman to pivot OpenAI from a niche AI research firm testing the limits of innovation to a glorified cash incinerator

Really? Gemini argues with me over facts I know and produces horribly unreliable results in my testing.

Anything is better than Grok, the only thing Grok is winning at is playing the cronyism card for government contracts, oh and international bans for deepfake children.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how Gemini has advanced.

The secret ingredient: leveraging a $120 billion annual profit search and advertising monopoly, and a mobile duopoly that „act as one company“ as court filings showed.

I use Gemini for work everyday and the UI is fucking terrible. There’s no concept of a real project. Yeah, you can kind of use gems like that sort of but that’s not what they’re intended for. You’re forced to use search to find everything, and I have hundreds of conversations I’m searching through now and then some of those conversations just get deleted and you can never find them again.
The llm itself may be great, but the ux and workflows they have surrounding it is d-tier

If I could even get Gemini to just format a table properly in Google Docs I *might* begin to believe this, but as of now, I remain dubious.

Anthropic had a very solid early lead with Enterprise, I’m curious as those initial contracts renew if they’ll lose a significant share to Google.

Microsoft must be banging their head right now jumping to another big failed product that is going to be huge impact and again being beaten by Google.

When Bard was realesed they were bashing how bad it was, now after Apple adopting to Gemini. It kinda shows where the race has reached. You do not provoke the giants with unlimited cash supply!

Anthropic models are better compared to their GPT-5.x counterparts, and I have heard fantastic news about Gemini Pro 3.
They need to get people to start using it though. I don’t know anybody using Gemni. It is either claude or openai

Winning how? By forcing itself on every Google search? Please, each time I see Gemini, it’s against my will.

Yeah but the real winner is Anthropic with Claude. Of chatgpt and Gemini are a mechanic who can tell you what’s wrong with your car and how to fix it, Claude fixes your car for you. It’s incredible.

Gemini is still opening itself on Android, that’s not really winning when you force it people to have it .

Too bad it still sucks. I look forward to a time when it actually is able to do things that save me time and energy, but for now I ask it to perform simple tasks like finding an eBay listing or who’s playing at a club tonight and the answer is either wrong or „I’m sorry I can’t do that.“

This is such an odd take. Rooting for a company that was just ruled as monopoly to „crush the competition“ is wild.

Uh oh. I may have given Google some stats in the last month. Open AI tried to debate me on Reddit information. Said I’d have to pull API info, then I called it a liar and told it to recall its agreement with Reddit. Then it pulled the information for me. Sam Altman really under the gun right now. Hear there’s ads on the way. Google also might know a thing or two about that.

I’ve been using Gemini for months now as part of the free 15 (or so) months for students. It is easily the best one out there. GPT is basically the worst choice for AI you can pick, but it’s the one everyone knows I suppose.
