Armenia is gonna have a war with kurdistan then get invaded by USSR.

  2. Must have been a suprise for Wilson when he realised Sykes and Picot had already agreed on the slicing up of Lebanon, Palestine and Syria between the UK and France

  3. Crazy that Britain would probably still be the global empire for another few hundred years had Germany not gone crazy twice in 20 years. Really curious what the world would be like if Britain was still in control.

  4. Out of curiosity, why would USA have plans for other continents in early 20th century? It was a local player, very far from being an imperial power reaching to middle east until after WW2.
I could understand if this was British or a Russian plan.
I don’t think USA had any interest nor deep plans for middle east ar that time.

  5. It’s really wild to me the way countries used to just be like „yeah we decided we’re gonna be in charge here“ and just carved up land. I know this still happens today but it was even more flagrant back then.

Ignoring US/UK control and whatnot, how do the borders themselves compare to what actually happened? What nations would be left without a state in this scenario?

Lmao what a joke of a plan. Everybody knows places like the middle east are best turned into a federal republic

Was „international“ meant to be autonomous corpus separatum like how the initial plan for Jerusalem in 1947 was that it’d be a quasi-independent city state belonging to no nation, only for the idea to never be implemented once the shooting started?

The US wanted to manage mandates? I thought they didn’t want too much involvement

WTF does “international” mean, and has it ever been implemented elsewhere?
