Of all the spin off sequels they could make, an Arya continuation is probably one I’d be least interested in.

„What do we say to the God of Death?“

    „More cash please.“

Arya was so badass in the books. I hope this series does her justice.

Given she can survive life-threatening wounds while swimming in poo water, there aren’t many stakes here

My issue is that politics is what made game of thrones good.

You shouldn’t know if an assassin has been sent, who sent the assassin, who was the real target of the assassin (if you stopped them), etc.

It’s like they want to make the murderer the main character of a murder mystery.

    That kills the mystery.

I’m not saying it can’t work, I’m just hoping they have a very solid script because if they try to do this without a plan it will crash and burn hard.

See, my idea for a show begins with offering George RR Martin a giant check and a kings ransom of adderol to get him to finish the books quickly. Then we just start GOT back up at the point where they ran out of material.

    Good lord.

It’s nuts to me that Joe Abercrombie’s First Law stuff is sitting right there, waiting for a good adaptation, and they keep doing GoT instead. Brand loyalty trumps waning quality, I guess.

  8. I feel like they have been on and off with this. Let’s hope it comes to life

  9. Nope. The show’s ending was bad enough to put me off ever giving another show in this series a chance.

I’d watch that. Arya is one of my favorite characters and watching her stab her way across Westeros would be fun.

I wish they’d adapt something like Red Rising or one of the many other epic series out there. Personally, I don’t have much interest in more Game of Thrones.

House of the Dragon hasn’t really clicked for me, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms looks tonally uncertain so far. And as we’ve seen with franchises like Star Wars, not every universe has enough strong storytelling to sustain endless spinoffs.

I’d love to see studios take bigger swings on new worlds instead of continually circling the same ones.

Before any of the other spinoffs were created I personally always felt a spinoff with her traversing the never been seen before world would have been the best option considering they were already out of source material…I hope that’s what they’re doing

  13. It would be fun to find out that Arya was just the faceless man using her face the whole time.

Why can’t they just come up with a new idea or even base a series off a book that hasn’t been adapted yet.

this is what i expect 5-8 years from now in Stranger Things. they’re gonna set up Eleven for a spin-off, with or without the creator’s input

I think it has great potential to be amazing and also terribly bad. But it’s the storyline I most wished to get a continuation after the GoT finale, as it’s a bit removed from the main story and could explore a ton of cool new locations.

This makes sense because she’s off to explore and will have limited reason to interact with other characters

Shame that the Hound died. I really liked the pairing of Arya & the Hound. They were hilarious together
