I do miss my HTC Touch Pro. Slide-out physical keyboard, built-in stylus… It had it all.

My next phone will be a messaging only phone. My addiction to short form content and even Reddit is ridiculous these days. Anything that lets me talk to my friends but restricts me from scrolling endlessly will be a solid choice for me.

Omg are you serious. Touch screens are the worst.

Honestly, I’d certainly take a look. Even after all these years of owning both Android and Apple phones, I am just the shtis at texting.

Blackberry phones were the gold standard QWERTY phones back in the day
Its too bad they just gave up.

I used to have a Nokia E7. Peak design.
A touchscreen cannot come even close to how nice a physical keyboard is.

I’m consistently failed by these keyboard updates and thought my fingers were getting fatter for the last few years but numerous YouTube videos have been uploaded over the last year showing screen recordings of the user pressing one letter and the keyboard inputting the wrong letter.
I think a physical keyboard would correct this problem.
All that leaves is the spell check on the phone changing words after you hit period or enter.

I’m an old fuck that can touch type a normal keyboard, and just shit using thumbs. I prefer my bigger screen, and was looking for a usb/bluetooth keyboard. There were a couple, just a bit meh.

I admit that I hate touch screen typing enough that Click’s Power Keyboard makes enough sense for me to order.

My blackberry bold 9700 was the peak for me.
Biggest one is the battery lasted 2 days.
I don’t even mind the screen size cause I’m not watching many movies or videos on my phone in general anymore.
80% of the time my virtual keyboard is up anyway.

So much of this is dependent on size/form factor and feel. Nobody wants cheap feeling buttons, and nobody is going to want something that dominates too much more space than their phone already does.

Unihertz would make a great work device, if they get the software side right

Blackberry Z10 or Z30 both had virtual keyboards.
Yet the typing experience was even better than with a physical keyboard.
What we need is for someone to bring back that incredible sw controlling their virtual keyboard.
Please!!

The click phone looks nice, I do know from old devices that I really like having a real little keyboard that actually gives natural tactile feedback that you pressed something compared to horrible flat glass.
However… I also like modern level of water+shock resistance – bit concerned they might be a bit fragile relatively now that android phones are often IP67 or even IP68 or IP69 rated?

Physical keys are nice but I need a Spanish, Japanese, French and Korean keyboard on my phone so I could never go back.

Oh the sad, sad delusions of the aging redditor. Touchscreen phones destroyed physical keyboards for a reason and that hasn’t changed. They aren’t ever coming back in mass anymore than steam engines or CRT TVs.

I had a HTC TyTN II (aka AT&T Tilt) back on the day that I was very fond of. One of my most favorite phones. Even loaded a very early version of Android on it at one point. If they made an updated version with similar form factor I’d buy it out of pure nostalgia despite it being a chonky boy.

Why „qwerty“ my keyboard is qwerty, why not just say physical?
