Congress finally ending its hibernation since 20th January 2025 would be nice to see.
„Trump’s statements pushed Bacon, alongside House Democrats, to introduce the No Funds for NATO Invasion Act, legislation aimed at blocking any U.S. military action against NATO territory.“ So it’s not just talk, either (I’m not very hopeful on that Act passing, or whatever their procedure is.)

That’s nice that they introduce some legislation that says no to invading NATO, but the MAGA cult already demonstrated they don’t go through legislation when attacking countries, and the point here is both a landgrab and the means to leave NATO without having to go through them pesky legislators. Simply attack another NATO country, easy peasy without any legislators‘ approval like attacking Venezuela, and get „kicked out“ for it.

Canadian here; it’s worse than you think. If trump successfully takes Greenland, he will personally control the entire Northwest Passage, from Greenland to Alaska.
Canada would lose her sovereignty in the high arctic. There would no longer be a friendly, stable, cooperative nation allowing access to arctic shipping lanes. He would open up deep sea mining and oil exploration in an extremely sensitive area of the world, and we’ve already seen his distain for anything „environmentally sound.“
Greenland is first, then Canada and Mexico. The US president wants nothing less than world domination, and he is not afraid to use his thugs to accomplish this.
Anyone who thinks military commanders won’t follow blatantly illegal orders hasn’t been paying attention. From intentionally disguising a military aircraft with civilian livery so they can murder the crews of fishing boats, to the illegal invasion and kidnapping of the leader of a sovereign nation, every single one of trump’s goons fell into step like good little tin soldiers. The goddamn Nuremberg defence is being quoted by his minions every day, all day, for christ sake.
Worst of all, trump is only getting started, and the US government, courts and population are powerless to stop him. His SS is now murdering mums in cars for watching them „disappear“ people.
