Good. If the president can dish it out, he can take accountability too. A worker shouldn’t be bullied for doing their job and speaking like a normal human.

And this is exactly why having a union is important, among so many other reasons.

That was probably the first time someone got close enough to tell him the truth in ten years at least, He tried to play it off but in his damaged narcissistic mind it’s been replaying over and over.

Can someone show the grifters how much money standing up to Trump made this guy in his gofundme? If they want money for elections, they can all take note. That’s how to fund raise. Have a spine. Say it out loud to his face.

Remember Trump only believes in freedom of speech if he likes it. He wants people harmed for true words. Snowflake.

That must have been rough for him. Glad the union’s stepping in, no one should have to face that kind of treatment alone at work.

What is Ford going to do about Trump yelling profanities at their worker and flipping him off? Anything?

    8. An injury to one, is an injury to all.

This is exactly why unions are important.

Donald Trump is a thin skinned bitch. The only thing on him that is thin is his skin, the loudmouth piggy.

Maybe he’ll share some of his *at least* half a million dollar reward with them.

Who the hell is Steven Cheung and why does every statement from him sound like a twitter gay’s catty comments?

This is a clear open and shut retaliation case. He has 1st amendment rights and Ford retaliated against him by firing him right after he did this. Can’t envoke employment-at-will when you retaliate.

    13. They should not fire someone for exercising their 1st amendment right.
They should fire someone if they raped children or colludes with people who raped children.

    14. The union will defend him, but Ford will be worried about the wrath of Trump. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Hey Michigan might go blue harder.

Im not sure they’ll realize they voted for their own deaths…twice… but hey!

I was having this discussion the other day. Conservatives are typically union busters. But they are also typically capitalists who try to squeeze everything out of their workers including treating them like crap. So unions are not required where conditions and needs are not being met. So they work against their own goals and blame it on the workers. High turnover, poor output, poor quality are symptoms together of poor management. Take any business courses at higher level and they teach you that. You compensate and treat fairly, they don’t get unions and keep working harder.

I bring it up because this is exactly an example of a company who did something for themselves and not the whole. What do you think other employees felt by these actions? Now rhe union, which Trump and other Republicans are against, will more than likely get his job back and back pay. And the workers know where they stand, with Trump.

    17. Trump has done a lot of things but he hasn’t tried to get a union auto work fired. Good luck, it’s next to impossible. It could be his greatest challenge yet.

    18. Yes. Of course. It would be a huge problem if they didn’t. Hopefully, the idiot in the White House will try and start a brawl with the unions too.

If the president can take the heat, he should own up to it. Workers deserve respect for doing their job

    20. If the worker was union when they were fired then the plant is likely going to have to reinstate them with back pay as the suspension/firing was not tied to job performance.

Thats the key strength/point of unions. Your job is forced to only consider job performance when disciplining you. They cant fire you cause you cuss or voice concerns or what you do outside of your job.

The plant should just have let it go. Now they have to pay out more money in the long run. But thats what happens when you try to appease maga

Next time CJ Sabula walks into the local UAW Union Hall, the sound of thunderous applause will fill the air.

What if this whole thing sparks growth in unions because they make Trump look bad? This dude would be the next American hero we all see statues of in every city. Just for calling Trump a pedophile protector

    23. KimchiKappaX on

Wouldn’t you feel supported if your union had your back like this? It’s good to see workers standing up when leadership crosses the line.

Unions folks. We need these more than just the auto industry…we need to unionize nationally. There’s a reason the wealthy spend billions trying to propagandize against unions.

I really could not imagine a higher honor than being cussed out and given the finger by President Trump. That would be line item 1 on my resume.

    26. VonSkullenheim on

Wow, didn’t expect that – they’ve been kissing Trump’s feet. Still don’t expect much, but I’ll keep hope either way.
