  1. What exactly is „Heathen“ that doesn’t fall into Wichcraft, Wicca, or Pagan?

The only thing I can think of is those white supremacist viking LARPer type dudes.

Spiritual and spiritualist … “Do you play the organ or are you an organist?”

Would also be interesting to order them by total response, just to see how those bars line up.

I know you can see the numbers in this one, but it’s just not very visually clear.

  4. So no one is going to talk about how Satanism landed at 66.6%? Say what you will about them they stick to their branding

  5. Is there some oddness in the data that paganism is it’s own seperate section rather than Other Religions? Paganism is often catchall name for native Irish, eastern Europe and Scandanavian religions.

I guess if a man is single and looking for a quality partner and one is a man they can become a witch. If a woman is single and looking for a quality man they can become a…Heathen.

  7. It seems like I’m in the minority but the title was very confusing to me. I think the graph depicts “what percentage of religious beliefs are held by men vs women?”

Paganism is 62% female, and Heathen is 79% male. What’s really the difference?

Why men are less inclined to believe in BS than women? There is any scientific study in that respect? Thank you for your attention to this matter

This is sick! I’ve just been writing about religion trends from last year and globally believers are in decline. Great to see the breakdown by gender.

Wait, 66.6% of Satanists are men? That feels a little too on-the-nose. Did they deliberately engineer that percentage?

For people not familiar with UK censuses, the question is…

„What is your religion?“ and is voluntary, allowing options like „No religion,“ „Christian,“ „Muslim,“ „Hindu,“ etc., plus an „Any other religion, write in“ box.

Various secular organisations such as Humanists object to this as the question is leading and campaign every time for people to answer „No Religion“ as that’s the only answer that can’t be twisted.

  13. I often heard it’s a good idea to join a church to meet women. Didn’t know a warlock would be such a women magnet.
