No.
The Svalbard law 1925, makes Svalbard like any other piece of Norway. Norway is inseparable.
This unlike our antarctic possessions for example.
Greenland has autonomy and is more or less just loosely associated with their cash cow Denmark.
Once Greenland was given autonomy to the level it has now, china and usa was bound to come sniffing.
The greenlander authorities cant even make a solid statement that tells usa to fuck off and that they love being part of the danish crown. Which is also why the danish PM is so quiet about it all.
I’d say „no“ to that, because politically it wouldn’t be any different than attacking mainland Norway or any other NATO country.
Practically Russia already annexed Crimera and it was kinda played down for the sake of „not escalating“ and there *could* be a chance Putin will count on that again and try.
According to military strategists it actually IS possible that he might really try and rely on NATO not wanting to escalate again and to stresstest article 5, but the targets would most likely be Estonia or Latvia.
So, the possibility is there, but chances are close to zero.
