It depends on if Trump actually intervenes at this point. Thousands dead is a clear sign that the military and police will not switch sides with just protesters alone. All the security forces know they are fucked in a regime change.
Not just some operation to take out Khamenei either but most of the Mullahs and IRGC leadership.
