You can’t have a united island when the politics are not common.
Always thought he was Armenian. I’ve been following Oz’s politics for a while now, while his heart is definitely in the right place I don’t think that a lot of his goals and aspirations can be realised, it will be interesting to see how he will do in the elections, as he’s mostly competing ideologically with parties like Volt Cyprus
In an imaginary unitary state, both communities will vote for nationalist far-right parties. Basic political science dictates this. Currently, there isn’t a united nationalist front in the RoC, but if we become a unitary state, ELAM will likely be the main party. And TCs might invent or evolve a nationalist party themself.
I don’t like the bicommunal state idea, but a federal state is definitely a stable and stronger option. Germany, the US, the UK, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Switzerland, Canada, Belgium, etc., are all federal states. And no one outside of Germany is even aware of this.
I may not agree with him on much but this is good, you end violence when everyone participates in democracy
