      I don’t get why people do this. But after hearing how Pierre sladered Steam Whistle, you are going to see less and less businesses hosting political events

      Same thing happened here with a pizza place and Trudeau….then the freedom people

      I absolutely hate PP, his rhetoric, his smugnes. Pretty much everything about him.

      And yet I feel bad for her. I cant see what she did wrong here. Maybe there is more to the story I am missing.

      No need to harass the restaurant for hosting. Just quietly avoid going there due to their lack of good judgement.

      Sounds like she’s just making excuses for her ignorance. If you’re a single parent and a business owner, and you don’t follow at least federal politics, I just don’t know what to say.

      It seems like politics would *very much* have an effect on those areas of your life, and to be totally ignorant of that entire segment of reality is just asking for this kind of trouble.

      Would she have hosted Trudeau and then claimed „I don’t follow politics, I didn’t know he was unpopular“?

      I guess the question is did she use this event to express her own political views or was she just happy for her establishment to have some national attention.

      If she was using it to express her own political views in todays current toxic political environment that decision comes with consequences.

      If not, then people need to dial things down, Most people are not that politically aware and would be shocked that just posing for a picture with a politician would result in negative attention.

      Is leaving one star reviews and boycotting a buisness considered harrasement now?

      Its one thing if people are making threats and hurling stones but this is barley even worth a reddit post over. Smells like a ploy to draw in the anti woke crowd. 

      She’ll get more visibility from this article complaining then anything detractors could have said online.

      I’m not condoning this but my God do not get involved with this stuff. She saw a business opportunity but failed to read the room.

      That doesn’t justify these attacks from the chronically online but it shouldn’t have been hard to see this coming.

      It’s not what I would have done, but she literally hosted the man who just praised the foreign despot who’s actively threatening to annex Greenland.

      Some people are going to be pissed.
