„Having experienced Russian detention firsthand, he said he could not move on without a sense of justice. Reed stated that he recognized what Ukrainians were going through and believed his military training and combat experience could be useful in resisting Russian aggression.

After his release, Reed traveled to Ukraine and joined the fight against Russian forces, framing his decision not as revenge alone, but as solidarity with a country facing the same system that had imprisoned him. “

Wow, I remember the story of his arrest/sentencing. Glad he’s finally getting some justice, in whatever form he can. Fuck Russia.

Just for a second, imagine a SECDEF with integrity like Trevor Reed. Trevor, if you’re listening, stay safe and thank you for telling your story in your upcoming book. I can’t wait to read it. Glory to the Heroes.

    5. Respect to Trevor.

I hope you exact some payback for any mistreatment in captivity.

      Proper Rambo shit!!

I think only those who have to interact with russians or are victim to their aggressions,  are the ones who really, truly understand how evil they are. That it’s worth risking life and limb to protect the rest of us who have no idea the true depravity they are capable of. I don’t think reading about the horrors they commit, is even close to the same understanding as living through them.

What a hero. I hope he’s around to witness Ukraine’s victory or peace agreement signing. I hope he finds the peace he’s looking for out there, in whatever way he needs to.

His fate would be just as bad as any FoRL member who gets captured, and thats truly risking it all for a heroic cause.

Respect but we could use someone like him here in the US supporting the citizens who are being illegally detained, tear based, sprayed and of course murder by street thugs.
