Add it to the pile of types of misinformation that are threatening our national security (and safety, and sanity, and quality of life, etc, etc).

But seriously, watching how quickly „these fires are arson“ caught on in certain communities was really shocking to me. It seemed like overnight we went from pretty normalish conversations about wildfires to having to explain the meaning of „human caused“ to people who clearly do not want it explained to them.
