      From the article:

Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski called for a congressional probe into the Justice Department’s investigation of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, saying the inquiry over project cost overruns amounts to political coercion and threatens the Fed’s independence.

Murkowski said after speaking with Powell that the Trump administration’s actions could undermine market stability and the broader economy if the central bank’s independence is compromised. She warned that Congress must act to prevent what she described as an attempt to pressure the Fed.

When the nation’s police force is corrupt, who polices the police? We’re fucked.

    3. If the DOJ can be “weaponized”, then an investigation should survive daylight. If it can’t, that says everything.

    4. You know when a headline uses “Republican/GOP Senator/Rep”, instead of the name, it’s going to be one of the same 4 people and it’s not going to result in anything.

Oh Murkowski? I am sure she will put a lot of effort into riling up support for an investigation rather than just say this, do nothing else, and let herself fade back into obscurity.

Trump installed DoJ lackey Jeanine Pirro specifically to be his attack dog, in this case she’s now targeting Powell. Trump also chose her initially for her proximity to the mob and to ‚reward‘ her (now) ex-husband.

Pirro was married to Albert Pirro (until 2023,) a wealthy real estate lawyer, lobbyist, Republican funder, major powerbroker based in Westchester County, NY, specializing in land use and zoning. Pirro represented Trump in the 1990s, helping secure land for development projects like the Trump National Golf Club.

Pirro earned substantial fees representing clients in the gambling and racing industries, including lobbying for Powerhouse Technologies, Trump’s Taj Mahal, Trump Castle, and Trump Plaza Associates.

Pirro’s lavish lifestyle were frequently subject to scrutiny, including conspiracy and a conviction in 2000 for tax evasion where he served federal prison sentence. He was later pardoned by President Donald Trump in 2021.

A top lieutenant in the Gambino crime family was reportedly caught on an FBI wiretap in the mid-2000s claiming that Albert Pirro discussed one of his wife’s pending cases with a mob associate. Federal prosecutors investigated this claim, but no charges were brought against either of the Pirros related to this matter. At the time Giuliani was NYC Mayor and may have played a role in blocking any charges being levied.

Trumps always surrounded himself with people who have one foot in the mob world and another in a legit business to cover for their illegal cash income. When he got into politics he was able to reward them directly. Wish people made a list of them, it’s remarkable how overt the pattern is.

Murkowski and Tillis are complaining now but voted for almost all of these inept appointees who were place expressly to rubber stamp DJT requests. What did they expect???

Thats funny, when they used these same tactics against Letitia James, and Comey there wasnt a single peep.

    9. What about the cost overruns of the current White House renovations? Whose fault is that? Let’s investigate!

    10. He needs to be removed from office and his entire administration investigated.

When can we admit that a terrorist regime is currently taking over the United States of America and with increasingly violent force?

By Definition terrorism is: the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

A terrorist organization is generally defined as a group using or threatening violence for political, religious, or ideological goals, aiming to create fear and coerce governments or populations, often targeting civilians or non-combatants.

      key characteristics include:

      – politically motivated violence

      – intimidation tactics,

      – an intent to influence broader audiences beyond immediate victims.

They have illegally deployed military units into cities and neighborhoods against the civilian population. They use aggressive tactic and overt violence against the civilian population. They are creating an environment of fear by design. They’ve gotten rid of due process for a significant civilian population. They’ve sent their military forces into SCHOOLS, terrorizing children. They’ve sent military forces to intimidate businesses they disagree with. They’re executing mom’s in the street. This is all being done with an intent to influence far beyond the immediate victims. Pretty sure more than just Minnesotans feel scared as fuck right now.

Now we see dozens of masked men, armed to the teeth, entering the homes of US citizens and abducting them, presumably for protesting ICE or based on nothing more than the color of their skin, or their last name.

All this violence, all this fear, all this use of military against our own civilian population, is being ILLEGALY and is being done so that the Trump Regime can further advance their political and ideological goals. Combined as well with the weaponizing of his DOJ against any and all resistance from the legislative and judicial branch; the most recent example being the bringing of criminal charges against Fed Chair Powell.

The Trump Regime is a terrorist organization.

How can any AMERICAN truly defend this at this point? Fuck being democrat or republican. What the actual fuck is happening? Anybody left in power with any fucking spine and any sense of love for the United States, Democracy, and The Constitution needs to step the fuck up, or THIS is how Democracy dies.

    12. Weaponizing the DoJ to target minorities and political opponents: I sleep.

Weaponizing the DoJ to target the money: Real shit.

It’s Murkowski, so not a mainstream Republican. I wouldn’t hold my breath on many more supporting this.

    14. Now that the stock market is threatened, we can count on the politicians to do something.

    15. This sacrificial lamb, one at a time display of backbone needs to stop.

Republicans, choose now: your country or a fat pedophile.

    16. Oddly enough she is ok with the DOJ violating Americans freedoms until it effects the billionaires.

They’re starting to realize that by „fixing“ the market short term, they will irrevocably crash it long term.

It’s more important because she’s a Republican because what Republicans say have more value than what a Democrat says.
