      Germany at that time was more industrialized than many countries in the world, competing only with the British Empire. It’s a shame that it lasted only 47 years, I really liked the empire’s concept.

      Weird that you used an old version rather than the corrected one on Wikipedia.

      Memel was part of the Regierungsbezirk Königsberg, not Gumbinnen.
