Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem signaled that hundreds more federal agents are being deployed to Minneapolis, where the fatal shooting of a woman has inflamed strife around President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.
“We’re sending more officers today and tomorrow,” Noem said on Fox News’ *Sunday Morning Futures* when asked about the government’s response. “They’ll arrive — there’ll be hundreds more, in order to allow our ICE and our Border Patrol individuals that are working in Minneapolis to do so safely.”
Protests erupted in Minneapolis after a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot and killed Renée Nicole Good during a tense confrontation on Jan. 7. Thousands marched to the shooting site on Saturday.

They’re trying to bait the protestors into starting a riot in order to suppress them, and invoke the Insurrection Act in order to lock the country down under martial law.
Trump has already hinted at potentially cancelling the Midterms, this might be their way of doing that.
In positive news, the rapid response groups in Minnesota have grown exponentially. I mean by bonkers crazy numbers. You can tap the RR groups and get people to show up to an ICE raid in numbers in under a minute.
Everywhere ICE goes they’re literally followed by a gigantic caravan of citizens.
Always, always remember there are so, so many more of us than there are of them. Get organized.
The Feds are foreign invaders. They come from out of town or out of state to invade your home. They don’t know the grounds. They don’t know they people. You do. You know your neighbors, you know your friends, your family.
And these people are also cowards. They’re not trained soldiers. They’re untrained racist goons. They’re not intelligent. NO ONE in the Trump administration is intelligent.
We can fight them. We must fight them. I didn’t want to be an adult in a fascist nation, but I am, and you are, and this is what we have to do. Get organized, get coordinated, oppose them at every turn.

A lot of people are asking how to join an RR team. Full disclosure, I don’t live in Minnesota. I have been following their organizing on social media. They do a lot of organizing on Bluesky.
The thing about them is they’re actual, true social networks. They’re chains of people. I imagine if you’re looking for one in your local area, you can start on Bluesky searching for Your State / City + ICE rapid response. There are hashtags and even apps for organizing.
A lot of this happens via DMs. Most of these groups will recruit in a social media space, but then transition to a Signal group or some other private chat where they can communicate. There are people who will post and solicit help through Bluesky.
MN is also going to be way more active than your local one, because of the recent murder. That’s just kinda how it goes. The more the admin ramps up activity, the more people will join these groups, and the more abundant and numerous they’ll become.
If you don’t live in MN there’s probably not a lot you can do to support them. Check out your local scene though. And read a lot of local news, scroll a lot of MN news to see how they’re doing it, so that you can be better prepared when they roll through your town.

They are trying desperately to cause an incident where in an ice agent gets injured somehow and then they will pull the trigger on the insurrection act. That is the whole point of all of this. And I would be surprised if they don’t get what they want.
Meanwhile they are using ICE agents to evacuate Jonathan Ross from Minnesota. He’s literally fleeing justice.

they are starting in Minnesota because they feel they ultimately won the PR war after George Floyd and Black Lives Matter. It’s also a staunchly Democratic state in an increasingly conservative part of the country, and it ranks near the top on nearly every quality of life metric. Republicans hate that.
