    Just because people say something when asked in a census does not mean that they are religious. In Hungary, only about 5% of the population is actively religious. Most of them are elderly people living in villages who actually go to church to socialize with others.

    Most people in Hungary hates the hypocritical, mafia-like churches.

    I feel like they should just remove the “not stated” category, it really warps the results. If the respondents don’t know their religion they should have a don’t know option instead.

    Hungarian protestants are calvinists? Friendship ended with the ottomans, I see the Austrians’ point now /s
