President Trump took to social media and to interviews shortly after the incident to shift blame onto Good, describing her behaviour at the scene as “very disorderly” and alleging she obstructed and resisted federal agents.

Vice President J.D. Vance has taken an especially combative tone. In public remarks and social media posts, he defended the ICE agent’s actions as justified self‑defense, asserted that Good’s death was “a tragedy of her own making.”

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said the shooting happened because of “an act of domestic terrorism.” DHS called Good a “violent rioter” in a social media post. Homan told CBS Evening News that it would be unprofessional to comment and that they should let the investigation finish.
